loud noise?

does noise interupt bristlenose from breeding? like loud noises.... just asking coz theres lots of loud noise at my house ill be looking at my fish and then like loud door slams and loud music makes them jump around

loud noise could influence breeding i suppose depends on how long you had the fish and if they are used to the environment,

must admit though I used to have very noisey neighbours and my pleco hardly ever bred, but since those neighbours left
the pleco have had 5 batches so could be you need to give the neighbours a ASBO lol.....

if not and you have problems then try to sound proof the room a little.. back of the tank can be packed with polystyrene foam and that can sometimes help )

noise does indeed affect breeding. Loud noise stresses fish and stress means no breeding. simple as that. I keep the door to my fish room open most of the time, i find the bubbling soothing , but if we are watching tele or i got the music going i close it.

now then Doug what type of breeding were you talking about there.... remember this is a fish web site... pmsl...
