just looks like a normal bristlenose to me....
think I have two exactly the same, though markings on it can vary will post two pics of mine later...
both from same parents, but with different markings... and one very similar to yours... | |

| My first two ever bristlenose bought from Gemma at Barnsley, South Yorkshire... both males and both nearly 1 year old now... both have same parents, but both have different markings..... both fight like brothers for the same shell too.. lol.. pic 1 [url= pic 2 pic 3... brothers waiting for the shell, and before their nightly fight.. lol weird how to fish from the same batch and parents can look so different. I thought these resembled your pleco some what, if not give me your thoughts... | |

sure if these aren't the same as mine I have one in my tank that is more like it...
mine were bought as Ancistrus TeminckII, though I have 5 varieties of Ancistrus in the same tank so I could be confused right now...lol
might get more help from Doug or Moo, though Deano is good with Ancistrus too...

| This is very hard one to I.D but the closet ive come is LDA053 Ancistrus Pirareta although the pirareta comes from paraguay not columbia...
Take at look at this profile ive found no others that are close exept for a barryancistrus which it isnt....

| I thought that it may be this one HERE as it's found in Columbia amongst other places.
The image at bottom right bears similaritys to the second image in my original post. There again my eyes are not what they used to be :roll:
The fish in the pictures I've posted are only 3-4cms so they could develop different colouration and patterning to what they are know.

| I've talked with thatfishplace before and the majority of their pleco stock is bred vs. imported so I haven't purchased anything from them. That's not really a bad thing but as a breeder I like to sell F1 fish whenever possible.
I don't think that their source info is correct on that link though. | |
