| Hi all, What could be this problem below? The scales are not like the others. Seems like a disease or something? | |

| ok, firstly Bristlenose don't have scales...they are scaleless fish but yes, something is def amiss there. Looks like an open wound behind the eye there, most likely a bacterial infection. I would get her into a hospital tank if you have one, if not no big deal, then treat with a broard scale anti-biotic like multi-cure (AT HALF DOSE, full dose will kill her). see how that goes | |

| If your unable to obtain antibiotics (some countries it needs to be perscibed by a vet), so if you have eSHa 2000 to hand I'd start a course ASAP.

| I would quarantine her if it is possible for you...always safer that way..It does look like a secondary infection after an injury..Best of luck with her.. | |
