i use a Ehiem aqua ball filter for my 182s and a sponge filter that can be transfered into my fry saver if the male kick the eggs out like he has done the last 2 spawns

and my 144s are in a 4ft tank with 9 L134s and i have an Ehiem External 2128 and a fluval 4+ internal filter.... i have air pumps creating bubble walls in all my tanks for extra oxygen

Mine is built into the lid made by aqua one...nothing special but seems to do the trick with my L182's and common's so far.. Smile

My other tank also has a built in juwel corner filter(sponge) and also does a good job..

Although i want to get hold of a ehiem aquaball soon.. Very Happy

I use Aqua one cf1200 external, eheim aqua ball and fluval 4 in my tank, the spray bar of the external is pointed upwards and the internals are pushing out a stream of bubbles, this gives good water movement, not fast or strong just continous steady flow. Smile

PostSubject: I prefer internals...   filters u use on the BN tank EmptyMon Jul 05, 2010 10:14 pm

at this moment in time for ease of access I prefer internals, though I run two in each tank just for extra backup and also incase one packs in... it is also handy if I have to remove one for my next set up to help mature the next tank more quickly... Smile

I have 3 fluval filters( 2 fluval 4plus, and 1 xfluval 3plus) I also have a corner juwel filter as a spare which is currently under
maintenance Smile

I also have a couple of fluval plus 1 filters just for the small 5 gallon tank, though shortly going to invest in a couple of sponge filters and a decent spare pump.

prefer internal as to me I dont mind taking the lid off the tank and removing the filter to clean it....

and to be truthful dont have much room in my terraced right now to get externals....
