| Hopefully she may absorb the eggs naturally.
It has been said that Epsom salts can help eggbound fish release their eggs.
Some aquarist try epsom salt baths with one tablespoon of epsom salt for every gallon of water. You leave the fish in the bath for 15 minutes each day until the fish shows distress. Sadly I do not have any experience with this technique so can not confirm if it works..

Anyone any ideas? I did the same mate with my albino's...my male would not go near his cave or the female for at least 6 weeks...... I just left him and off he started again....sometimes they just enjoy the break....plus depending on how long he was spawning for and raising fry before then maybe he felt he was due a good feed and rest...give it another few weeks mate and he will soon be back to his best...and nest...

| i'm with curby He will eventually set up shop again, just got to give him time. The female will be fine until she spawns, if they dont lay their eggs they will reabsorb them so no issues there. | |
