| hi all iv grown both on now and in my opinion females dont have bristles iv sat and watched both now and iv been right so far whats ure opinions on em regards dave | |

um, well yeah, males have bristles, females don't. well to be technical, females can have bristles but they are aalways small and only on the top lip, never running up their nose. | |

| I agree with doug 100%............... Here's a fully mature female...she's is about 6-7 inches in size, with bristles just around her lip like doug said... Here's a fully mature female..she is about 4-5 inches...no bristles.... Hope this gives you a better idea..... | |

| i know what ure saying but iv 309 females, roi Ucayali and lo59 all the females in these have slight bristles
but i know people that have had females with bristles in 144,s and super reds but iv never had what im getting at do u think its water quilty or temp that the females will grow slight bristles in 144s and reds ? | |

Mate females will have bristles rather none or lots around the lip..but they wont get them up the snout like a male will.... | |

| spot on curby The generation of female birstles is pruely genetic. Its an overflow from the the males having them. its has nothing to do with the water quality or temp | |
