My plecs have been missing for days, saw what i think is a female last night, today looking around with a little torch as my tank has loads of hiding places and looked between 2 bits of wood covered in java moss and saw one in there and the tail was fanning like crazy, checked again not long ago and both were there and one still fanning like mad, are there going to be babies ?

He's in more of a tunnel than a cave, strange thing is i have 4 weather loaches that go in there that he chases off except the dark one, yesterday he was in there resting next to him while he was fanning away with no problems, anyone else had that.

Another question is will the babies be ok in my tank if they are born because i don't have another tank to move them to, the other fish i have are 2 x goldfish, 4 x weather loaches about 4" long, long fin danios, harlequin rasboras and some white cloud mountain minnows.

may be worthwhile investing in a small fry / breeding saver just incase you need to house the fry in the same tank in a safe area then Smile
