| Subject: Bumblebee catfish and fry.. Tue Jan 11, 2011 6:09 pm | |
| Went away for two nights leaving about 30 ancistrus teminckii in a floating fry saver thinking they would be safe....
Came home late last night to find only 6 left!
From what I can only assume to have happened is either one or both bumblebee cat fish that usually live at bottom of the of the Fluval aquarium must have waited till lights out and jumped into the fry saver and had gourmet lunch on the 2 month old ancistrus I was trying to grow out.
This as never happened before, so word of advice if you need to go away for a few days and have meat eating catfish in your tank, either move the fry out into a safer tank or move the meat eaters out to a tank where they will not have extra lunch on your new bristlenose family.
All the best
