| Does anyone know about breeding Glow Fish? I bought my daughter 3 Glow Fish for her new tank, and the red/pink one seens to be chubbies than the other two. I was wondering if this one could be a female? Are they live bearers or do they lay eggs? | |

| Glow fish are transgenetic danios. They have added genes from either jellyfish or I think an anemone, depending upon the color. As I recall they were developed for research into water pollution, and since they were bright and pretty they got into the aquarium trade here in the US. Because they are transgenetic they are illegal in many other places. | |

| Ambers right on this one, they're illegal outside of US! They are basically Danio's though, so try just following basic Danio breeding practice. I do know that you cannoy re-sell them easy though, as GloFish are a trademarked product. Plus it's not known if they pass on the glowing gene or not | |
