| I ordered one of these: from thefishcave.com as i thought it would be a good idea to see if my peppermints will spawn in it as it will be nice and tight for them. got it today so i will add it to the tank and see what happens. just thought i'd ask on here if anyone has used round caves like this before for breeding and if they are a successful way of breeding bn? cheers | |

| I have never used them but i know they work. I have had many people tell me of their success with them, not to mention there are heaps of videos on youtube with them.
Good luck mate | |

| on way to garden centre tomorrow so may watch out for some....
on another matter I like to use sea shells, the spine shells seem to hold my breeding pair fairly regular, and about every 6 weeks usually there are about 60-80 wrigglers swimming round the entrance... | |

| thanks guys i wanted to make one coz i know it would be heaps cheaper (and also fun) but i don't really have the tools, like a saw. but next time i'm at my dads place (coz dads always have a million tools lol) i might have a go and put it in my cichlid tank wow i never thought of sea shells, i can't imagine finding any big enough for my male though...but will keep an eye out. :cyclops: i have another qustion... now that i put the new round cave in the tank my male is still in his other cave he chose a week ago....its a 3 ft tank and there are 3 different caves, should i remove all caves except the new round one so he will have no choice but to use it? i ask this because i think the cave he chose is not tight or small enough. or should i just wait a bit longer to see if he changes his mind? | |
