| Hi, I have a couple of open top tanks that lose water before a w/c is due. Should I use RO water alone to just top up ot the mix of ro/tap I normally use? There is no possibility of covering the tanks as this was all the advise I got elsewhere! | |

| I would suggest using RO water only. the water loss is from evopration and if you replace with tap water the salts will eventually build up... I made this mistake with my main tank and i was eventually forced to replace all of the gravel as the salts had leached into it something terrible! | |
