| I have an old handmade ceramic piece that I want to use as a cave -unfortunately I let it fall and it broke in several pieces. Clean breaks so I glued it back together with Super glue (CA) Is it safe to use in the tank now? | |

| Hi , since noboy has answered yet, I would not use it ...I would wait till someone with expert knowledge answers. My thinking is no, and I only use aquarium safe silicone ,as you don't want toxins leeching into your water . Hope you get an ans soon . Georgie | |

| Hi, i also have only used aquarium safe silicone just to be on the safe side. you just never know, i wouldn't risk it. The cost to buy a new cave i'm sure is cheaper than the cost of losing beautiful fish. But wait for more replies | |

| If it is a Cyanoacrylate super glue then it would be safe to use, Reef keepers use it to glue pieces of coral to the rock.
If your unsure then don't use it, better to be safe than sorry. | |

| Thanks for all the replies. It is a Cyanoacrylate. I suppose what I'm worried about is the sharp edge you get sometimes on CA glue especially if the BN was rasping against it. I'll leave it out. | |
