| hello mate they look nice fish but there is one problem.... they are L66 not L333, L333 dont have forked tails like your fish do, i have L333 and L66and can tell the difference alot. L66 Tail : L333 Tail : also what size are these plecs mate ? | |

| The smaller ones with the big dots are L201s and are about 2 months younger than the L333s. I think they are both males so io will be looking for some females in time. I know a breeder close to me who has heaps at the moment so i might go and ask him about trades etc. I'm 99% sure they are L333s, the forking in the tail is not as obvious as the L066s and the patterning is too broad to be L066. The guy who i bought them off is one of SAs bets pleco guys and he got his breeding pair from Mike W who is about Australia's top L number man. Think he has more Ls than anyone is Aus. The lines look a bit faded in the pics cos the poor little fish were stressed as. They have not been caught or harrassed in anyway since i bought them 2 years ago! I think they forgot what it was like to be caught in a net Here is a pic of one of them hiding in the breeding cave. Forgot to turn the flash off so it got a bit of a fright so i didnt try and take any more so thats why its a big of a bung shot. And one of the tank they are now in. Its 24 degrees, pH is 6.7 and its quite soft. I have the internal filter which is about 700l/h and a small powerhead which is about 400l/h that is blowing along the front of the tank past the entrance to the caves. I am going to leave them in there as is for a month or two before i begin any of the triggering stuff. From what i have read it is very rare for them to spawn for several months after being put into a new tank so i figure it would be a waste of time however, I wanted to get them settled in now so that they are ready sooner rather than later. | |

| been doing some reading, might bump the temp up a bit. Most people are saying it needs to be upwards of 28 degrees. even up to 30 :O
