After saying I'm not getting any new fish untill we move house or at least a for a while anyway, I just happened to finish work early today so thought I'd pop into my LFS... Knew I shouldn't but couldn't help myself, so ended up coming home with this......

Sorry the picture isn't very good, I will try and get some better ones.

It is a L081 (Yellow Seam Golden Nugget), she/he is a little beaut about 3.5 inches long. They had several all about the same size but I only bought one as I don't like to buy fish of the same type from the same fish shop at the same time unless I know they are all the same sex. This way if/when I get around to breeding them, I know I won't be interbreeding siblings.

Fingers crossed it settles in ok.

cheers

Jon

Seen a few reports stating that they have been breed in captivity although not much info on this is about and some saying that they haven't...... If they haven't then this would mean that all Gold Nuggets are wild caught....

However did find this bit of info an interesting read.

Just need to move first so that I can get a bigger tank ( a nice 6 footer or bigger ) which will then give me the opportunity by freeing up my 4 footer to get a group of these in a species only tank and have a go at breeding them.

cheers

Jon
