Well that's the Dad, taken when I got him last January. The mother is one of three females- all four were from different sources so they should be strong stock. I rarely see the adults as there are plenty of wood and caves in the tank.

The fry are about 15mm long

that's one of the females- may not be the parent though. They are very camera shy as the tank is in a quiet part of the house so when anyone approaches the tank the zoom off into cover. I'll try and get some updated pics of the fry

Sounds rated odd for common bn. They usually aren't that fussed with whatever's going on outside the tank
