| Hi im wondering if anyone has ever had fry that has hatched only 2 days that are white and have come from a pair of orange spot bristlenoses. there is no other fish in the tank. do they colour up, the last lot where black this lot is white. whats going on? | |

| Hello, I don't have orange spot but have peppermints and commons that have had small spawns from young parents and hatched premature and been white. These fry had about a 80% death rate but some did survive. I'm not trying to dishearten you but this is my experience that springs to mind. I do hope they live | |

| did the ones that survive stay white or get colour. so far we have had no deaths but will continue to monitor the situation thanks

| The Three spawns that I have had in the past came out of the eggs white and then colored up a few days later.
I'm very glad to hear there have been no casuilties
Please keep us updated, perhaps they are mutant orange spots! | |

| What are the parameters of the water pH, etc. Just wondering if something caused the egg shell to break down. | |

| hard to get pics as they are still in the cave with egg sacks. they took 1 week to hatch which is normal and they have been hatched for 3 days and havent changed colour they are still white. ill try to get a pic if i can. but cant promise anything ill get parameters of water soon | |

| all the water parameters are fine the ph is 7.6 temp is 26 so it all looks good. ill post again if any changes or anything exciing happens regarding this or if a get a pic of them | |

| all of the babies have coloured up nicely and are starting to come out of cave so it seems all ok. maybe they r jsut born white. | |
