Hello from NJ, USA!

Hello everyone,
I kind of stumbled across a link to this site this morning while reading a post on another forum. Had to go and sign up right away, I love BN's and always reading, reading, reading to learn more. I've been breeding them on and off for a couple of years, started off with breeding some sp. Pucallpa BN's. Current BN stock is 11 beautiful L144 long-fins just starting to breed, a few still growing out. I have them in a 75G planted tank along with some sterbai cories, a school of ember tetras,2 siamese algae eaters and a few amano shrimp. I won't be keeping all 11, I've managed to buy from several breeders in order to get males and females that were not directly related.

I've been in the hobby many, many years and enjoy breeding some of the more difficult to breed fish from time to time. I currently have a "herd" of 42 sidthimunki's (dwarf chain loaches) that I've grown out for almost 1.5 years now, hoping that I can accomplish getting them to breed in captivity, they are on the endangered species list. Have also recently been breeding galaxy rasboras (celestial pearl danios), corydoras pygmaeus, and corydoras sterbai.

And I also have a planted show tank with 10 adult discus which are my first loves, but I have no desire to breed them.

High pinkertd, welcome to the forum , nice variety of fish you have listed - maybe u can give me
some pointers on how to get my damn sterbai to spawn . Happy posting .
