| Hi,I was just wondering what the largest amount of babies that has been produced by a single female bristlenose at any one time was? If people on here have had very large amounts,how many was it and how old/large was the parents? | |

| Iv read people say they've had bn reach up to 14-15cm and I'm guessing a female that big would lay around 100+ eggs. But I'm yet to read proof of this. I'm sure doug would be able to properly answer your question. | |

| The largest that i have ever had was 97, so basically 100. although, that is rare. I would say the average for a well practiced pair would be about 50-60. But there is so much that comes to it that there is no way of properly answering the question.

| Hi there,
Well, my L144s had laid eggs twice, and the number of eggs (hatched and grown up, I count, only) was 68 and 61. Brown Ancistrus produced roughly the same.
