| Hi guys...well all the questions about fanning etc seem to be awnsered........
turned the light on this morning and there was the big guy fanning at the entrance to the cave....when out popted a lil wriggler, he made his way over to the top of the bog wood any stayed there.......
Whooot whoooot, i now have some Pep fry.......
my question now is..........
do i leave them in there community tank, 2 males 3 females, or shall i move them over to there own tank with the cave and the male ?
pic's to follow,
Dave

| Congratulations on the Pepps Food wise they can eat most things the parents will eat, but softer foods like cucumber and courgrette are a good first food. Food should always be available to them as having to search for food can be detrimental to young fry. | |

| When you say Community tank do you mean a community of bristlenoses? If yes then they are fine where they are for the moment. If you had a spare tank where they could be on their own then you'd probably see a faster growth rate. | |

| I agree with parkadge, they are safe enough with other BN's, it all depends what the other tankmates are. | |

| Congrats on the Peps spawning I agree with the above posts. If you only want to breed them then setting up a breeding tank is best. | |

| Congratulations on the fry. I usually find with all fry that however many I count there are always lots more One thing about leaving them in the main tank, it's fine for them but really hard to catch them later if you have wood and plants etc. I always put dad and cave in another tank as soon as they look ready to leave. I am still finding a couple that I missed last time as I wasn't quick enough. | |

| @ June....i did think of doing this just before they all left the cave....
just wondered about water conditions, i was going to do a 30% water change on a 180 tank and send it to my 70l tank and place them in there with aprox another 15% of fresh water,
would this be ok to do in future or are the fry once hatched quite fragile,
i know through experiences with corys you cant move them as the water change doesn't do them any good....
cheers,
Dave
