well everything was going well.......
couple of days in the male kicked 3 egg's, one clear, one white, one orange, i scooped these up and they went into my improvised egg rumbler,
a day later another 3 this time all 3 where orange, but had lil bits of brown on the outside...start of fungus ? so in they went too
the next day i came home from work and there was a big clump sat outside his cave
doh!!!!
must be about 18 egg's in total all stuck together, i would say about 80% of these where orange and the rest see through, so scoupted them up too and into the rumbler they went....
couple of days later, the big clump is still a big clump but a few of the pairs and single egg's and lil white bit's on them...
i thought i better check it out....and to my suprize the lil white bits where tiny lil plec's on the outside of the egg's....when i say tiny i mean like 1.5mm in lenth max...
i was delighted and had a sence of wellbeing as i had saved these lil guys....lets hope i can see them all the way through...
as for the big clump.....still waiting.....
so i have a couple of questions.....
different eggs -
orange....fertaile ?
white....erm dead ?
brownish...fungused ?
clear...unfertiale ?
and then my next question, i know it takes a couple of days or so for them to have used up the egg at what point should i reduce the air flow through the egg's and then also when should i let them out of the rumbler.....
cheers,
Dave....
DIY Rumbler= 1 netted stick on breeding box with a air pump going underneath it so the bubbles come through,
these are in a smaller tank with a sponge filter and breeding corys.....the corys will be moved out so they get free run as soon as there ready......
