Hi everyone,I found and joined your excellent forum a couple of weeks ago but have been busy lately with new arrivals (L100's & several broods of Red & black Calico's) so have only just got round to introducing myself. I,m a 48 year old,happily married man with 3 grown up kids. I have been keeping L number plecs for about 2 years & have been obsessed from the start. My first purchases were 3 Ancistrus cirrhosus,they are wonderfull little characters and they started the rollercoaster ride that I can't get off,at present I am caring for a collection of just over 100 or so friends most of them the usual Hypan,s & Peckoltia's but I have a fair few Ancistus, as well as the afformentioned L100's,A.cirrhosus & Red & Black Calico's I also have L059 hoplogenys,L034 medusa B.N's &a host of various coloured albino's. To date I have only been able to breed the A.cirrhosus,Albino's,Calico's & L100's.I live on the edge of the Mendip hills in Somerset,a limestone escarpment so the tapwater is rock hard (about 18* dKh ), my only option has been rainwater until now as I have just invested in a combo of R/O unit & H.M.A. Filters so water quality is no longer a problem. Well thats me,I hope to get to get to know you all in time but for now keep up the excellent posts/articles ect.. & I will try to post some of my pics when I figure out how ( newbie to computers/net ect...).
