| Hi my sub male bristlenose is doing some odd, thing he is swimming upside down and round and round inside the ship, i really cant make up my mined up what he is doing, does anyone have any experience in this field thank you FILL THIS OUT Tank size and setup:Substrate:filtration (Internal, external, flow rate, last cleaned and what it was cleaned in):Airstone/sponge filter etc:Inhabitance:Fish affected by issue (all/bottom dwellers, all bristlenose or a single fish etc):Feeding system (what, how much, how often):current water change system (before illness appeared):water changes made since illness appeared:As many levels as you know (pH, Ammonia, nitrate, nitirite, KH, GH, TDS, aanything you can find out, your local fish shop should be able to help with this):any chemicals used (including carbon/chemical fitration inside the filter):water source and treatment:Major changes in the last 3 weeks (new fish, new plants, new anything or changes):Symptoms (gasping, not moving, bloated, spots, wounds, stressed colours etc):Pictures: | |

Have you done any water tests, Ammonia, Nitrite, etc. | |

| waters fine he only does it sometimes swim's in a big circle like he is meant to be doing it and there is purpose to it odd fish ill have to see if i can get a video of it

| It might not be the same thing, but i've had guppies do a similar thing. I did a google search and feeding blanched peas was suggested -- it fixed it. If it's a swimbladder problem it might help. | |

| Tank size and setup: 100ltr
Substrate: sand
filtration (Internal, external, flow rate, last cleaned and what it was cleaned in): external fr 1000l/h
Airstone/sponge filter etc:
Inhabitance: 6 dannio, 3 kholie loach, 2 clown loach and 2 bn
Fish affected by issue (all/bottom dwellers, all bristlenose or a single fish etc):
Feeding system (what, how much, how often):greens every 3 days, bloodworn once a week, flackes every 2 days
current water change system (before illness appeared): 25% every wendsday
water changes made since illness appeared: 25% water changed but it is not an illness
As many levels as you know (pH, Ammonia, nitrate, nitirite, KH, GH, TDS, aanything you can find out, your local fish shop should be able to help with this): pH 6.4,0ppm,Ammonia nitrate 0ppm, nitirite 20ppm, KH 6d, GH between 8 and 16d, TDS dont have a test
any chemicals used (including carbon/chemical fitration inside the filter):carbon is always in my filter and i use bacatlife
water source and treatment: tap tetra stress coat
Major changes in the last 3 weeks (new fish, new plants, new anything or changes):2bn's
Symptoms (gasping, not moving, bloated, spots, wounds, stressed colours etc):swims upside down with purpose

| I would agree that it does not appear to be an illness such as a swimbladder problem which would cause uncontrolled swimming. This swimming in circles does seem to be an odd behaviour and is something I have not seen or heard of. There may be something causing this behaviour, as an example stress can sometimes show itself in behaviour, which could make it a health problem. | |
