| I have some of these but daft as it sounds I don't know what sex they are! I know they are mature because I've had 2 of them at least two years. They all have small whiskers round the top of their mouths but not very male looking compared to reds or browns. Can you or anyone help please. | |

| From what I can see June, and the length of time you say have had them, I would say they are females. The male would not only have bristles around the nose, but also over his head just like the photo on the forum header.
Looks like you have a nice collection of other BN's as well.

| I tend to agree with you they are female as they show no interest in each other. Unlucky as I got them from different sources. The tank looks crowded because they've all come out for food.
