| Two questions I have first should the tank for breeding BN's have gravel or a empty bottom? Second I have a longfin albino female and a standard fin albino male will they breed together? Ty:) | |

| found this in the polls room http://www.bristlenoseworld.com/t1566-the-best-substrate-for-your-bristlenose basically its up to you. some people say gravel is better because it looks nicer and adds more bacteria to the tank essentially helping the filtration. others say bare bottom is better because its easier to maintain bn waste and yes your longfin female and shortfin albino male will breed. they are the same species, just different morphs of the original common bristlenose | |

They are potentially big enough but it does vary between individual fish, People seem to have equal success with gravel or bare bottoms. | |
