what are flat worms?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flatworm

they are a primitive type of worm. First animal along the evolutionary tree to have a 'head' so to speak.

How to treat them?

A product called 'no planeria' is the best I can recommend. can be a bit hard to find but it is well worth the hunt

Planaria is a symtom of over feeding and not a parasite.
There are lots of products in lfs that deal with harmful worms. Just make sure they bn safe.

Thanks for the correction.
I thought this is a forum we can all learn from each other
If I have to check my facts everytime I post, that's going to be difficult.
Doug, there are more polite ways of correcting a person.
