| I am new to this whole shipping fish thing. Usually I have a friend that owns a fish store that would help me out and take care of it, but I would like to start doing it myself. Can anyone help me out? | |

| Polystyrene box, lined with newspaper. Add heatpack. Put fish in Kordon Breather Bag (easily obtainable for you guys in the US)along with bag buddies. Put in box and pack all round with polystyrene peanuts. Secure box with tape, mark fragile, this way up and fish fry. Job done. | |

| I noticed they dont show any type of foam boxes on the Aqu-Bid site they just have liners for standard Flat rate boxes for over-nite shipping. Can I use a disposable heat pack that you can pick up at any pharmacy, Walmart or Walgreens? | |

| It was 107 degrees here today and in the new room my tanks were up to 82 degrees I had to move the rest of my tanks off the porch into the new room because my 10 gallons were at 100 degrees and I lost a few guppies. | |

| if you can put something up to keep the sun off them so they are in the shade that will help keep them a little cooler and a smal fan would help | |

| my new fish room I have all the windows blocked in it and they were still 82 I am thinking of putting a Airconditioner in the window for really hot days and just running it enough to keep the room at 74dg. the room also has a older frunice for the winter months. so I guess I really wont need heaters in the tanks after all. | |

| this winter you may need a little extra heat in that room to keep the temp where it needs to be in those tanks, im going to keep it 82 in my room as a starting point and will adjust the temp up or down as needed | |

| weather has been weird here the last couple of years. last year we didnt even get cold enough for snow to stay more than a few days until, I think the end of january. very few days this last year we got to 10 degrees below 0. I am going to install a digital thermostat in the room instead of the mechanical one that is on there now. for awhile when my step dad was still alive I actually used that room as my bedroom and all I had for a heater at the time was a space heater and I kept the room at 70 all winter. | |
