| I don't like to do it. For many reasons. first it may be illegal. it is around here. Second, it is taking some poor little native fish's home away. Do the proper thing and buy it from a shop. | |

| the reason I ask is my grandmother has a creek behind her house and we ar constantly removing dead fall and some of it has been aged a few years and the reason we have to remove it is because otherwise the creek floods into her house. I will look and see if I can find some pictures because it floods so bad you cant even get in the driveway unless you have a big Truck like I do a car would be baried up to the windows. | |

| i checked here a few yrs ago and its not illegal to remove drift wood from a stream as long as you have the land owners permission to do so. | |

| I have always been a person of nature and alway lived by the way of kill only what you eat and utilize what nature provides to its fullest and never let anything go to waist. I am a avide hunter all my life and a naturalist to the best of my abilities. I just figured nature has to give it up for the better cause of the out come and thought I may be able to use it in a better fourm other than just having the city burn it. I guess that was my thinking to utilize what nature has provided. | |

| JOHN i agree 100% with you , here in the states almost everyone i know that has very many fish tanks goes out and finds their own drift wood and in your case where it causes flooding and the city removes it and burns in then by all means you should use it in your tanks.
