dividing my tank

well i went to the local hardware store. i got my self a plastic light screen. the wholes are about 1/2" so fry can still swim in and out. but i dont want that. so i got some screen for a window. my question is, is this going to be safe for my fish. i know the plastic will be. but the screen has a fiber glass coating on it and i dotn know if this is going to be a problem or not.

any suggestions ?

Use the fibreglass mesh, not the metal one and you will be fine

thats what i got. its black in color. and i zip tied it to the plastic backin so it wont fall over... my fish seem fine with it so far.
