| My Longfin Albino and Common Brown Bristlenose mated. The male is doing an amazing job guarding the eggs, But im worried they'll get eaten by the other fish in my tank. 3 Angels, Some Rummy's,Cardibnals,Neons,Emerald Corys, Oto cats. They didnt mess with a pair of mated guppies I had in there to much, but I just dont wanna lose any, and heres where the real problem lies...I know I could move both fater and eggs to something, or place else, but the eggs are in a corner of a larger peice of driftwoood and I dont have another tank to use, I have a breeders container, but theres no way that it would fit the Plecos and deff not the wood. The pleco would fit, just not a medium size driftwood..WHAT SHOULD I DO TO SAVE MY BABIES!!!!! | |

| welcome to the fourm Firstly congrads on the eggs! as to what to do in order to save them there are a few things that i would recommend. Firstly, how large are the angel fish? unless they are massive they are generally mid level and top hunters. they often struggle to see things on the bottom. They are the only things that i can see that are going to be an issue. The other fish are either too small or not really predatory. I would be tempted to leave them in there and see how they go. if you are really set on saving them all then you are going to have to get them into the breeding cage. I would wait til the eggs hatch which should be any tick of the clock now and then scoop them into the breeding trap and add an air stone. When they are eggs they are stuck together and to the wood and trying to move them can damage them. once they hatch you should be able to scoop them up no dramas. personally, i would leave them with dad. He will defend them til they are a bit bigger. If you want to increase their chances add in a bit more wood, rock and plants so they have somewhere to hide. | |

| awesome!!! And thanks for the welcome, this site is awesome and very helpful! The Angels are around Mid-Size. Not to big, not to small. they usually stay at the top of the water. Dad's doing a great job of watching over them. After they are out of the sack, how long after should I put them in a breeder cage and the best way to scoop them up is? I cant get the pic I have uploaded and dont know why. | |

| given that the angels are mid sized they shouldnt be too much of an issue.
once the eggs hatch they are easily moved around. if you have a large turkey baster or similar that can be perfect. if not just slide a net under the wrigglers and then lift the wood up and they will swim off into the net. | |
