| Peas worked, did a nice big poo, but what I am more concerned about is the darker orange/ red coloured area just below his mouth. It just seems to be getting darker and darker. | |

| the darker red area is normal as far as i know all of my albino trio have spots of red, the male has the most. He has a big red spot like the one in the pic right on the top of his head. DLJ This is an older pic and the red has darkened recently [img] [img] | |

| I would not worry to much. I think you are just seeing your fish maturing. With Albinos it can be a little more emphasised as you are seeing the true colour of the flesh so to speak in all its glory without pigmentation getting in the way. Marty | |

I admit to being more than a little obsessed with this guy, so I don't want anything to go wrong! Howdy; It is good to be a little bit extra concerned then having something creep up on you. But I find that Bristlenoses are pretty tough and forgiving. As long as they get fed and don't get to stressed out by tankmates there are pretty cool little buggers with a face you just have to love. | I've been wondering if the "blush" on the BN's is due to being sexually receptive ? or mature ? Seems to be more noticeable on the males. Not sure if I'm wording this right : ) Help me out Doug LOL | |
