| got my first ever Bristlenose today!! Very excited!! The shop keeper was nice enough to give me a small piece of driftwood for free, as i didn't have any at the moment. He said he will get some next weekend, so i might drop by next weekend to get some for the little fella. My first little Bristlenose, he/she is about 5cms big. I only got a Common Bristlenose, since i have no experience in keeping one before, so i decided to go for a cheap one (cost me $10 AUS) and gain some experience first before going for the nice, fancy, and expensive ones. What do you guys think? | |

| he also had other plecos like L33, clown plecos and leopard plecos, he had more but i couldn't remember all the names. Out of the L33 and clown pleco, which one does a better job at cleaning algae? If this one goes well i might buy one of those... but i'm not an expert. ? | |

| Both of those plecos you mentioned are hypans and are more predatory in nature. They prefer a good combo if high protein foods and algae based foods. For cleaning algae you simply can not go past the good old common bristlenose | |
