Hey, I was wondering if anyone had ever kept young bristlenose with assassin snails? The plecos are about an inch long. I don't know if I'm just being paranoid, but I do know that assassins are supposed to be fairly predatory.

I have about ten assassins snails in my breeding tank that i just leave the fry in and i never had any problems that i noticed(with the lights on). The tank is a 55 gallon with a lot of room for the fry to swim away if a snail was bothering them

i'm kinda concerned, the tank won't be nearly as large so the plecos won't be able to get as far away.

it will be in a barebottom 10 gal with a spongefilter

There won't be an issue with the snails.. I raise and sell assassins and keep them in about every tank I have (30+). They will eat eggs but not live baby's. I would be more concerned with water quality in that small of a tank. BN can make a mess and they need very good water to grow fast. Assassins will however eat on dead fish but they are way to slow to catch a live fish no matter how small the tank Smile
