| I want to bore a 1 1/2'' x 5'' cave into my driftwood, for 1 or 2 bristlenoses. Does the cave need to be open on both ends ? | |

| I would say open at one end only if you intend it to be a breeding cave, if it's just a hide then both ends would be ok | |

| Yes only have one end open,I have made a few of these. You will need some sort of vice or workbench to hold the wood very tight while you do it.Good Luck | |

I agree, your male will not be able to defend his cave correctly if its open at both ends..... | |
