| I have been looking at slate caves and want to build a few myself, I was wondering if anyone knows how to tell if the slate is aquarium safe, or even better if anyone knows where to get some aquarium safe slate in adelaide | |

Here is a site that will help you to determine the safety of the slate in your aquarium. As to wehre to get slate. I have no idea. Hope this helps.

You can use either one. But, only use one of them. The only thing I have seen bubble up as of yet was a piece of sandstone. I think slate is safe but I have never used it so I don't know for sure.

| Ok, I've read that some slate is ok because it's 100% natural but others are not so good so I just want to be 100% sure before I start buying aome | |

| just as long as it is not treated with anything. Generally if you go to a flooring place they will have broken slate bits you can have for cheap as chips. just ask for untreated stuff. | |
