| No I don't add co2 but I just added a homemade spray bar to my 4ft fry tank and the spray bar is 4ft as well, I installed it to my filter yesterday and the water is full of O2 bubbles, I added it for maximum movement in my water and it does that but at the same time it adds a heck of alot O2 to the water as well hope that's not to confusing | |

| Hi,for the most part you cannot add too much oxygen to a tank, all that will happen is,like you say, that the excess will remain in small bubbles that will eventualy rise and burst at the surface. If you have so much that bubbles are actualy clinging to the fish themselves or so much that they are at risk of breathing in bubbles then i would be worried about that.(Having said that,i think it would take a large excess to create such an environment) Good surface movement is very good for the inhabitants and i would encourage it definately. Also water current in certain tanks is a good thing and definately for bristlenoses C02 is a bit of a different matter but as we are just talking about oxygen then you have nothing to worry about. | Alright well thanks for that and I only got confused because I remember looking into a co2 system for a planted tank once and I know that to much co2 will kill your fish but wasn't sure of O2 but thanks heaps and kind regards, I will post a DIY post for the spray bar I did | |

| you can have too much O2 but you can only get to that point by cooling the water and adding pure O2. For the most part though, the more bubbling and water movement it is brilliant for bristlenose. | |
