| Hello everyone, and to start I have been poping in and out of this site for the last 3-4 months and have learned alot for you guys and have seen some beautiful plecos! I have a 90gal community tank that houses some guppies, a pair of rams, 4 pea puffers, and an assortment of tetras, and I house my 2 short fin albino females, 1 brown short fin female, and my longfin albino male when they not doing there thing. Then I have a 20gal long as a breeder tank which currently has my brown short fin male and 2 short fin albino females that have not spawned yet. Both females are gravid and as we speak the females are going in and out of the cave with the male but at the moment they haven't dropped thier eggs yet. But I assume that by morning I will have a fanning male!!Atleast I hope anyway!! I am still real new to spawning bn plecos and hopefully come morning, I can say I have breed them. I will get some pics of my bn plecos soon, and hopefully some fry pics too!! | |

| Welcome Sounds like we have a new BN breeder! Are you dug out from the nor'easter, or can you stay home and enjoy your fish? We got less here in N. NY, but I'll take any excuse to stay home with the critters ! Sarah | |

| Yes! They spawned last night and I have about 100 eggs in the tube with the male! I am so excited! We will see how they come. Yes, we got buried here. My house got 32inches! Took me 15 hours to dig out with a plow, and a snow blower! Crazy stuff. I wasn't even born yet during 78 but this was a good one in my book! | |
