| So I got a few young bns. They are about 1.5 inch. Try are active and always sucking on the tank walls, filters, decor, etc. but I have tried to feed them multiple things an they are extremely uninterested. I guess they are getting what they need from the algae but I worry about them because they are so young and wanted them to have a quality diet. I am used to my other fish coming for food right away but I understand it may take the plecos a little longer to make their way over to the food(?) but most of the time they never do. Either the snails end up eating it, or I pull it out after a day. Things I have tried: Algae wafers Plecocaine (although I don't really understand how that would work for plecos as it floats, once sinked I don't think my guys would find it, to me it seems oddly shaped for pleco food, idk) Blanched zucchinni French cut green beans That's all I can think of right now, any ideas? | |

| feed them over night with the lights off. how big is the tank? if they are getting enough food from the slime and algae then that is the best diet they can ever have | |

| There are 2 in a 20 gallon and one each in two ten gallons. There is a good bit of algae since the lights are bright and I work long shifts so I like to be able to see and feed the fish (others too) before and after work so my light cycle is longer on than most... Good to know that algae is the best!! | |

| You coul always try inticing them with the garlic trick. Just make sure it's garlic, not garlic salt. I know there is a thread or two about it In the feeding subforum. This helped me to transition some of mine to fresh food. Good luck | |

| Hi,as Doug said if they are eating algae then that is best for them and will be keeping them well fed if there is plenty so don't worry. When they can't find anymore algae (which may be some time yet) they will start looking for other sources of food. Bristlenoses | |
