| I was on the hunt for Green Dragon fry at a reasonable price for months, and finally found some on aquabid a month or so ago. I trusted the seller as I had recieved some albinos and calicos off of him before and they turned out to be great looking, but these I believe we're mis-identified.
I recieved 6 Juvies at around 3/4-1" long and they are a black color with small whitish grey spots on them and the tips of their dorsal and caudal a have white on them. Similar to a starlight only the white doesn't reach all the way to the base of the fins. Just the very tip of their dorsal and top of the caudal. I originally thought that maybe they'd fade out to greens once they grew more, but that seems unlikely to me.
I'll try to get a picture, but they are all in a very densely planted tank and It's not very often that I see them hanging out in the open, and I'd rather not try to net them as that'll probably ruin my just redone aquascape.
I'm thinking it's just a common, but all the commons I have seen are brown which is what is throwing me for a loop.
Any thoughts as what these guys could be, color variant or anything would help me out greatly!

| You are correct that they are definitely not geen dragons!
Does anyone think they could be L183?
Did you contact the seller? Maybe he mistakenly sent you the wrong fish? I have been looking for a roup of resonable green dragons too or just one female as I have 3 males!! Just my luck, lol.
