Hello fellow bristle lovers, I currently have an albino male who my other half has owned for around 4 years. We put him with a female common of my sisters when she gave her tank to me and hey up they have paired :-) so now we are on our third batch of babies and hes in there fanning again :)I call them mummy and daddy bristle.
With two tanks full i finally gave in and made myself give some to the local fish shop who have given me some so say 'super red' juveniles in exchange. However I would say these are definatley crosses maybe with L144 or common, one is doing well and always out, other is quiet but looks ok. They are very orange with black spots and black stripes on tail hence I have named them one stripe and two stripe. I am going to keep them in my quarantine tank so as not to breed from them as I am sure they are inbred (if you see my other post).
I am currently in the process of setting up a big tank for the bristles and is has been maturing for two weeks so far, nice collection of bog wood and plants in there. I am collecting some long fin common juvies at the end of the month to add to my collection.
