| Hi to all, Have been away for a while but now I'm back. Few months ago I managed to lay my hands on a pair of L69 Panques, but despite all my efforts they did not spawn, yet. Since it is high season for catfishes to spawn, I was wondering if any of you have experience in breeding L169. If so, I would be happy if you would kindly share them with me. | |

| If you are using a heater for your aquarium setup. Turn the heater off for couple of days and then turn it back on. You can also add some cooler water to the aquarium to drop the temp my a few. Not a lot. I have a friend that uses rain water in the summer and snow in the winter to get his to breed. This is the only way he can get a certain type of pleco to breed. | |

| As Big Dog wrote. But it's not about using rain/snow per se as much as simulating rain season = large water change and dropping pH and temperature does the job. | |

| yeah, it is about simulating the things that make the fish spawn in the wild.
Pressure drop, cooler, softer water, fresher water, increased water movement etc.
try and simulate as many of those as you can and you should strike it lucky.
also, remember that plecos mature a lot slower, generally 18 -24 months to mature
