| Hi peoples, signed up a long time ago but thought it was about time i introduced myself. Name: Anthony Age 30 something Tanks 13 and increasing hopefully. Ive had one trio of bristlenose for about 3 years now they are real set of porn stars doing it all the time. Had last summer went on holiday and had 4x40+c days in a row and lost a lot of fry-sub adults. Since then ive been building my numbers back up. Have about 1000 commons at the moment selling a few here and there. Still only the orginal trio. Recently bought into some peppermints and had a few spawns being eaten. Have split them up and have 3 pairs and a few extra females im trying to fatten up. One sitting on eggs right now so hopefully starting a new era for myself. Only just bought a house and have finally set up my fish room. Here are some pics. Main bank of breeding tanks and a couple of grow out tanks. All plumbed from top to bottom then to sump. Main grow out tank leave the fry in here once over 1.5 cm and take them out generally when 4cm bottom tanks have my largest bristlenose non breeding and the other tanks has 3 female peppermints im trying to get into condition. All plumbed from top to bottom and into sump. Sump with sock filtration to begin then into foma chamber with filter wool/matten filter * 4 layers then water goes to pump (12,000litre) where most is pumped back to tanks with about 30% being cycled through the bin full of bio balls and then through canister made of pvc pipe filled with ceramic noodles. Sprinkler used to distribute water through the bio balls. As always hope to get some more tanks going and some better L-number plecos well see who wins the battle me or the wife Thanks for reading. | |
