| Hi Mate, that is awesome news!!! IME if this male has never looked after eggs before, some times they can get a little too eager and fan them a little too much and some of them will come out of the cave. I don't know if the eggs out of the cave will survive or not (they might though) just keep your eye on them. Remeber that if this male hasn't spawned before it may take a few times before he gets the hang of it.
Hope this helps :[IMG]http://i4 | |

| ok i thought that mite be the case but when i got home i caught one of the other males in the tank disturbing the male while he was trying to fan so that could be whats happening so i took him out and put him in another tank hopefully ther still more eggs in ther | |

| Yeah that's a good idead. When the mnale is fanning the eggs they are at their nastiest because any other fish entering his surronding will be chased off by him. A few more goes at being day and he'll have it sorted. | |

| We had a longfin male that refused to keep the eggs in a cave, so when he kicked them out we would either put them in a jar with a drop of meth blue and an airstone, or a fry saver with an airstone close to the eggs. This would do the job of fanning that the male wouldn't do. Always got fry to hatch | |
