how old are my babies ?

Now an avid fan of my gorgeous bristlenoses..i now am the proud owner of bn fry tons to be exact ..ohh soo cute as well ..

i have 2 very handsome males boris and morris (who has more bristles)both have their own tanks shared with community fish..after deciding to get them a girlie each ,to be honest i didnt think theyd bred well in a comunity tank so wasnt expecting much just thought it'd be nice have a pair ..

brought 2 juvi girls from a friend 1 for each boy i thought ....well 1 tank was hit with the dreaded whitespot c(ame off neons from lfs)..so meant both girls added to morris's tank (lucky him)

added girls 19th sept ..morris gets jiggy straight away that day humm
20th sept morris is hanging upside down in cave/rock
24th sept hes still not come away not even for food ..so shine torch spot big cluster of eggs..
4th october awoke to the flutter of little fins all over the tank
9th oct head count of whats in view and can see 30+ nearing 40 baby fry ..
but tons in filter,vents,bogwood,behind backing dec,back of tank you name it so theres definatly more..

but i cant work out the age of them as nothing figures out ..guessing eggs were there before 24th i hadnt thought to check as thought too soon ,also guessing babies dont venture out 1st day born so unsure how old

can anyone work out a rough age of the fry from eggs hatching = ?

Mine seem to take very roughly a week for the eggs to hatch and another week for them to venture out but I think this may also be temperature dependant.

High k.bod, generally it takes 5-6 days for the eggs to hatch , then the fry will stay
with dad for a further 10-12 days to use up their yolk supplies and then start to venture out in the big bad world.

soz my brains asleep lol ...so as added female on 19th ,eggs seen on 24th ,babies seen on 4th..

means in a total of 14 days ...my females gone from 1st getting jiggy -male fertilising eggs -laying eggs- male tending eggs-eggs hatching -male tending babies-babies venturing out ..wow

but still unsure how old that makes my babies now lol ..

Righto , if you seen babies @ approx the 4th of OCT (did they still have little yellow egg sacs attached or look like little fish?)and eggs @ the 24th/09/09-
that would make them approx 12-14 days old, give or take a couple of days.
