| WOW Now this is a good question, with lots of answers. Different folk find different caves work for them. In our tanks we give them choices of different types, and it's not always the same type they go for. However, generally speaking for spawning the male likes as small as he can fit into as this means he can trap the female without fear of her escaping. Sorry I couldn't be more specific, but it's all down to what the male prefers | |

| Bn's will spawn anywere and i mean anywere in a cave out a cave it doesnt matter like i said in another post when the female wants it she gets it and will dump her eggs were ever she like's.....but it make's life alot easier when the male selects a decent cave..........Kurusaki J's cave's are pretty much bang on and work 100% for him....myself i use standard slate cave...you can normally pick 3or4 up for a tenner off ebay or there is a guy called mark(Intrepidmax) I think he is normally on PF or PP he is registered on here but rarely make's an appearance.... But i must admit i will be making a cave just like Kuro J's second one the pot cave with perspect bottom its a winner in everyway.... | |

We had a longfin male that preferred to spawn on the back of a box filter. Angi | |

| We are new to this and only just had our first spawn. I had purchased a bunch of pieces of slate and stacked it up in a 30gallon for the BN. Had one piece left over and leaned it up against the back glass....... Guess where they spawned? Yup, behind that single piece and ignored the 30bucksworth all stacked up for them.. LOL | |
