My b/n, and the one I just bought.

Here are some pics of my Male b/n and the one I bought about an hour agao.

that looks like a nice new female there.....

yes... sadly it Would have been and I stress "Would". She wasn't in the tank for more than a few hours and just died. I tested the water parameters all of which turned out fine and my other b/n has been doing absolutely great.

hhmm strange what did your test results come out at? thats a shame ....maybe stress like you said...

Water levels were as follows:

<0.3 mg/l no2-
12.5 mg/l no3-
0 mg/l Nh+Nh4
7.5 pH
78F Temp.

Talked to the store owner I bought the fish from and he said I could have floated it too long. I brougt in a sample of my water and everything checked out with him, so he gave me another b/n in good health for five dollars instead of twenty. It's in the tank right now and I watch it for a few hours and seems fine if not a stressed.

i should think so that he gave you another...get some pics on here...is your new one male or female..???

Here ya'll go, this is the new one. Half as small as the other one I bought and my Male currently residing in the tank. Looks like a female and hopefully is.

does look like a female but prob be some time before you can tell and before mr in the tank decides he wants ago lol...

give her plenty of Veg and she will be in condition for your male in no time ive had 9month old BN spawn for me

the new b/n is doing great and the male is doing good as well. I added some d/w back into the tank and some slate, to make some more places for them to hide. The male has chosen to dig under the d/w and make a cave of sorts under there. The new b/n is a bit more outgoing than the male and spends most of it's time just swimming around the bottom of the tank cleaning the substrate here and there.

good to hear jacob sound like she is setlling in fine...get sum pics of your tanks up mate then i can see...

Here's an update on the new Chicky and one pic of them hanging out.

nice pics jacob...they look very happy together...hopefully they will spawn one day for you..

Thank you John, She seems to be doing good. I see her a lot more than the male, but I catch glimpse's of him every once and awhile. He loves the driftwood.

most males are like that they seem to spend most of there time in there Cave (Home) but once the lights are out they are out and about i never see my L182 males there always in caves or under Drift wood

thats what my male L182 is like he seems very timid during the day but he dont half strut his stuff at night...i think he thinks he's in a night club or sumert
