got some new wood Empty
PostSubject: got some new wood   got some new wood EmptyTue May 31, 2011 9:27 am

i picked up a new piece of wood, and its fricken awesome.i'll post pics when its in the tank. At the lfs they had it stickered as pre soaked. Got it home and thought ill give it a rinse in hot water and bit of a scrub. There seems to be a layer of dirt / mud on it, ive had it soaking in a 75 liter bin fpr 3 days, i originally filled it uo with hot water, after 3 days no tanin stain in water, so it seems most of the tanin's have leeched out, I was thinking its been soaked but they didnt clean the dirt of so all i was going to do was scrub all the dirt off and rinse it off. do i need to be wary of anything else? should i soak it for a few weeks or will it be ok to put in tank if there is no further tanin leeching?
