| Ok im thinking of putting some live rock/dead coral in my 4.5ft tank as i am looking at setting up a cichlid tank. I know the ph for bristlenoses shouldn't really go more than 7.8 but if it went up to 8 ish would that be disastrous? And will it even survive with african cichlids? | |

| They can and do but shouldn't. Bristlenose should really be kept in water between 6-7ph. Anything higher or lower isn't really good for the fish | |
