| My Bristlenose (Pedro) seems to be bleeding from the base of the rear left hand fin if you look at him face on. I have some LoveFish Health Gaurd which says it prevents infections however it is cpper based and so I don't think I can use it with Pedro. Any Ideas how to treat him? I don't have a Quarantine Tank and cannot give you any parameters unfortunately but I recently carried out a 50% water change as I am suffering from a very minor Ich problem. (I have added aquarium salt and raised the temp. to help cure that). Thanks | |

| What colour is he and are you absolutely sure it is blood? If it is definately blood then it is an injury or bacterial infection which can be caused by a few things like if you have gravel and don't vac often enough or fish fighting injuries or other injuries, water perameter problems etc.Do his fins look ragged ? The best thing I have ever used for fin rot is Interpet anti fungus and fin rot treatment. I have tried many other treatments and this was by far the best. | |

| He is albino. I am certain it is blood. His fins(rear two) look as if something has bitten them, and his right eye looks as if the red in it has enlarged. He is up and moving (phew) and looks ok, but I would like to help him out... | |

| I would treat with Interpet fungus and fin rot,it will not harm him,i have used it with tiny babies in the tank before.A good ich treatment is Esha exit.Don't use both treatments at the same time though.Pitty you don't have a spare tank for him. | |
