Albino BN but Blue eyes?

Hi all.

I have a friend who was discussing with me a type of BN/Pleco/L Number - whatever it may be (as I am no expert!).

Apparently his friend has multiple of these, which are breeding adults and their fry. They are 'albino' in colour, they have bristles (males I assume), they grow to 10-15 cm like a BN, but instead of pink/red eyes they are dark blue to black.   

I don't have photos but my friend is planning to go and see them personally and will hopefully get photos we can post.

Has anyone heard of/seen/owned something like this description? If so could you please post a picture for us to see and let us know what it is called?

These are lemon bristlenose, commonly (although, mistakenly) called the L-144.

They are a morph of the common bristlenose, basically an albino with dark eyes. They are rare here is Aus, having been here only for a few years and very few breeders as the people who do have them tend to hang on to them.

If you are looking to buy some then prepare for some serious $$$$

Nice to know there are a few different ones in Australia. I'd like to check them out. Do they breed with others like a standard albino or are they selective and only go with their own kind?

from what i have read they breed with all others just as readily as they would with themselves. Couldnt tell you though, I never bothered trying to find some to breed. they were SUPER expensive even a few years ago and I was a lowly uni student

No worries. I passed this info on to my friend and he is probably going to go and have a look at them. He will try to take photos so I would be able to post it if he does get a good one.
