| Another one from today - focussed on his fin and body patterns rather than his face for once - maybe better for ID. He's growing fast is turning into a right character. He's been attempting to make friends with the Macmasterii who are none too impressed as they've just spawned again. | |

| And the latest - his colouring has changed hugely over the last few weeks as he's approached adult size. | |

| Hello all - sorry for the lack of updates my other half is still a bit poorly. An update - Swapped out the Salvinia Natans for Limnobium Spongia. The Natans is just too quick to grow - never mind outcompeting algae I was chucking out 75% of it onto the compost heap every week - and by the next week it would be ocvering 2/3 of the top again. My other plants were suffering. Sacked the CO2 as well and replaced it with Easycarb. Plants absolutely love it - dose 2ml daily with Seachem Flourish once a week and the plants are doing grat (offer is still there if anyone wants a java fern plantlet or two). Now running a school of true upside down catfish - 8 in all. Busy little things. Swapped my female 144 for a female (forgotton the designation right now) of the same number as my male as I have a fish keeping buddy down here who was desperate for a female 144 and couldn't find one. The Panduro have spawned twice and the Macmasterii are even better than ever. BTW that AquaOne filter is superb - talk about gin clear water. The only thing about it is you need to change the wool filter as in chuck away rather than rinse every 2-3 months. Its very effective and the flow will gradually slow until you change it. Much better than the Fluval. Anyway here we go ... my female Ancistrus. A certain little BN has now grown up Male A. Macmasterii. You all know him. Female A. Macmasterii. You know all know her. | |

have to admit pleco's can be so hard to identify as they change colour as they mature and also again when stressed. in the picture on here - like Doug says it can be confused with a orange /mustard spot.... so may take a while longer to identify as yet.. | |
